Hand made painting/ink drawings of the main character in her normal and transformed state from the legendary series Cutie Honey created by Go Nagai. It was awesome to create this set, I felt inspired by the classic but twisted magical girl series. This 2 piece set is inspired a little more by the current versions of Honey Kisaragi. I still tried to pay homage to the classic version of Cutie Honey. I used a color splash style for the background for each piece then drew and inked the characters over it. The color palette on each piece is relatable to each individual character. I added a paint splash effect with dark line work to outline the characters. I splash the color first with various brushes then draw over after it is dried. Perfect for any nostalgic fan of the anime series growing up or for new fans.
