5x7 Print of my 22x28- Mixed Media/ Acrylic Ink

Hand Painted Kaneda from the classic manga/film Akira. As one of my favorite characters and movie adaptation of a manga I made sure to focus hard on keeping the line clean and strong as it is in the manga. There is a strong contrast between the white and black in this piece. The red addition is for the logo in its original katakana form. The red is helps add a splash of color and intensity from the contrast of white and black. I first drew it in pencil then went over with sharpie to darken the lines. Once i felt comfortable with the form and details i then used a fine brush to go over with acrylic ink for the black and red.
