Hand made painting/ink drawing of the original Pokemon starters from the classic game series. As a big fan Pokemon growing up and my resurgence of interest in the franchise I wanted to create a nostalgic piece. I chose to make 3 classic Pokemon as a set of watercolor cards, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander. I used the colors that symbolize the type of Pokemon they are and that reflect them. I added a paint splash effect with dark line work to outline the characters. I splash the color first with various brushes then draw over after it is dried.
